The original story was written in 2019 as part of the Writing Group and intended as a stand alone effort. But with the new year, I began to continue the story and now it has become a novella.

Jack was hired by his ex-wife, Rachel , to aid her in divorce proceedings. But as it happens, Jack is drawn into a murder investigation when her second husband, Charles Gordon, is found murdered. During the course of the story we meet many of the characters which he has known over his life living in Circle City and the high and low lifes which a detective meets.

Jack is now in his 50s, still in great shape and enjoys his life as a private investigator, with regular habits, his special black Studebaker Gran Tourismo and his cat Melba. But things do not quite turn out the way he expected.

The story will be published regularly, a few chapters at a time. Come along for the ride.
