Observations: Memories: On Ravenswood Drive — This is my latest, a memory story about the street where I spent the first 13 years of my life. From the late 1940s through the 50s, a small section of street ending in a forest inside the city, was my home base. It was an idyllic time and place in the life of the USA. An innocent time that no longer exists.

Chapter 12: No Accounting for Thieves

Bessita has her regular meeting with Harold Waters, the accountant for all RV Enterprises. He comes to pick up her accounts for the week and in an effort to impress, tells a great deal about the inside activity of the Vargas operations. Later in the day, Bessita meets up with Jack at the Melody Inn to inform him of what she has learned. They have dinner there and become ever closer.

Chapter 13: The Pool Guy

As Bessita drives out of the Mel’s parking lot, she sees one of RV Enterprises employees next to one of their blue work vans and yells to Jack. The guy tries to start up the Van but Jack intercepts him and demands to know what is going on threatening him with being turned over to the police, knowing he was likely an illegal working for Vargas. Jack learns more about how their operation works.

1ST Transcendence: Out of Order: Chapters 30 to 34

Baktor’s sabotage of the Energy Diverter shutting down the engines has thrown the Neologue 1 into a state of chaos. Tranche accuses Baktor of treason and assigns one of his minions to find evidence that can be used against him at the Doleur Council meeting. But Baktor had anticipated such actions and is prepared when he faces off with Tranche.

On board the Arcielle, the strengthening of the ship reaches its conclusion. Ginger reflects on the changes in her activity and relationship with Fred given the introduction of Jonathon into their mix. Then after almost 6 years of silence in receiving messages from earth, Ginger is sent a direct command to abandon the mission and return home.
