The Story Vault is the main collection of my short stories produced during the bi weekly sessions of the Creative Writing Group of the Biblioteque Anglais de Mayral, the Engllish Library of the Dordogne region of France. We meet on Thursday afternoons, originally bi-weekly in person, now weekly online. At the beginning of each session we are given “The trigger”. It is some sort of idea or quote or an item or phrase from which we build the story, written in one hour. It is used as each writer chooses, selecting some or all of the trigger. But the story is written in one go and takes its direction as the story evolves. It is purely for the fun and challenge of being creative and keeping our minds active.

The stories are grouped by years just as a way of keeping each menu list from being too long. And as we have gone on line since the lockdown against the virus in March of 2020, we write weekly instead of bi weekly. Thus there are far more stories from recent times and segmented into just one year instead of multiple years.
